Strattera pill is sympathomimetic central action. The drug improves the metabolism of the brain in adults and adolescents. It is prescribed for the treatment of ADHD in children over 6 years old.
The drug is taken orally, regardless of the meal (you can during a meal), 2 times a day (in the morning and late afternoon or early evening). If side effects occur, the drug is taken once a day in the morning.
With a body weight of up to 70kg, the daily dose is 0.5 mg/kg for three days of intake, after 2-4 weeks to 1.8 mg/kg (or 120 mg).
With a mass of over 70 kg, the initial dose per day is 40 mg, in three days up to 80 mg. The daily dose can be increased to 120 mg after 2-4 weeks of Strattera medication.

Warnings
- The drug is not used:
- with intolerance to any components of drugs;
- for narrow-angle glaucoma;
- with severe cardiovascular disease (arterial hypertension, heart failure, arterial occlusion, hemodynamically significant congenital heart disease, angina pectoris, cardiomyopathy, potentially life-threatening arrhythmias, myocardial infarction);
- with severe cerebrovascular disease (a cerebral aneurysm, stroke);
- with pheochromocytoma.
- Data on the effects of taking the drug during pregnancy and lactation are not available.
- Do not apply to children who are under 6 years of age.

In adult patients, it can cause a deterioration in appetite, insomnia, tachycardia, sleep disturbance, dizziness, hot flashes, feeling cold in hands and feet, constipation, flatulence, abdominal pain, difficulty urinating, weakness, chills, drowsiness, impaired ejaculation or absence, prostatitis. The drug can cause erectile dysfunction and menstrual cycle.
