Lioresal pill is used to treat multiple sclerosis, stroke, meningitis, spinal diseases, cerebral palsy, and affective disorders. The drug reduces muscle spasms. The purpose of this drug is to maintain the patient’s muscle tone, as close as possible to normal, and to minimize the severity and frequency of pain and spasms, without causing severe side effects.
Lioresal dosage is prescribed by a doctor depending on the state of health. Drug treatment in each patient should be carried out in several stages, which is prescribed by a doctor. Lioresal medication cessation should be carried out gradually, by successively reducing the dose of the drug. The exceptions are cases in case of a sudden overdose or serious side effects when instantaneous drug withdrawal is required.

Intake during pregnancy is prohibited. During the period of breastfeeding it can be used only on doctor's prescription, lactation during the taking of the drug must be stopped.
It cannot be used in patients with diabetes, mental disorders, epilepsy, ulcer.
The use of it with alcohol may have a depressant effect.
