The pills of Estrace
come in round or elongated shapes of white, purple or green colors depending on
the dosage.
The usual dosages for
this solution of female hormone are 0.5, 1 and 2 mg. The tablets themselves
consist of micronized estradiol.
Pharmacological use
This solution is used
by women to cope with the unpleasant effects related to menopause. Estrogen
therapy is required when the female body is incapable of generating enough
hormones to sustain a healthy and relatively happy life. It is administered in
cases of frequent hot flashes, dryness of vaginal tissues and so on.

Like is the case with
other medical solutions based on hormones, they can lead to unpleasant adverse
effects, some of which may cause serious discomfort. The most frequently
encountered ones are:
- cephalalgia;
- upset stomach;
- changes in weight;
