The Tegretol pill is used to eliminate feelings of anxiety and depression symptoms, helps reduce irritability and aggression, prevents epilepsy seizures. It helps to prevent painful attacks, with absolution (alcoholic), tremor and gait change are eliminated. It is also used in bipolar affective disorders (as maintenance therapy) to reduce the severity of clinical manifestations during exacerbations, as well as prevention of exacerbations.
The Tegretol dosage is prescribed by a doctor. The drug can be taken during, after or in between meals. It is recommended to intake it with a small amount of liquid. The maximum daily dose is not more than 10 tablets. The course of Tegretol medication should begin with the use of the minimum effective dosage. In the future, there should be a slow and gradual increase in doses.
Warnings:
Not recommended for use in the presence of individual intolerance to any of the components of the drug.
The drug is prohibited to use during pregnancy and lactation.
The dose of the drug for the elderly should be chosen with caution and only by a doctor.
It should not be precribed to infants less than 12 months old;
Patients with glaucoma, myocardial and renal insufficiency should not use it;
