Amoxil is an antibiotic effective in treatment of bacterial infections prone to its active ingredient Amoxicillin. Infections caused by H. influenza, N. gonorrhoea, E. Coli, Pneumococci and Streptococci as well as some types of Staphylococci infections can be treated by Amoxicillin due its ability to inhibit construction of their cell walls. However, it takes no effect on mycobacteria, mycoplasmas, fungi, plasmodium, viruses or microorganisms producing penicillase as they are naturally resistible to Amoxicillin.
This medication cannot be prescribed or recommended to other people based on similarity in your symptoms for similar conditions may be caused by different infectious agents and thus, require different treatment. It is strongly recommended to consult a doctor before treatment if you are allergic to Amoxicillin itself or any other penicillin antibiotic. Conditions like asthma, liver, kidney or blood dysfunction, as well as breastfeeding may be a contraindication due to excretion of Amoxicillin by kidneys and possibility of its excretion in milk causing diarrhea in babies. Certain contraception drugs might also turn out less effective when taken with Amoxicillin.

• nausea;
• itching;

• dizziness;
• vomiting, etc.
Some of those (vomiting, nausea, diarrhea) may also be signs of overdose; to avoid it, never take a double dose even if you missed the previous one. Another precaution is to avoid discontinuing treatment once you feel better because bacteria are known to have a more complicated life cycle that allows them to stand against the initial suppression and even develop immunity against Amoxicillin making it ineffective in future.
